Worldbuilder
in action
13/09/2002
These screenshots
show our worldbuilder
in action - the tool we use to make the Darkfall world come to life. The
worldbuilder is an inhouse tool made by Razorwax, and it is extremely
flexible yet easy to use. Needless to say, we are quite happy with it
:)
On these screenshots we are putting the finishing touches on a Mahirim
outpost, and playing around with the lighting a bit, for your viewing
pleasure.

Character
models
03/07/2002
Todays screenshots
are taken close to the dwarven surface city Gray Vale. This sprawling
city lies close to some of the richest coal and iron mines in all of Dvergheim.
Featured on these PRE-ALPHA screenshots for the first time, is an early
version of the dwarf model, and an early version of the Darkfall backpack.
Screenshots are actual
ingame screenshots, taken on a GeForce 1 videocard, with perfectly
playable FPS.

New
screens
13/06/2002
These screenshots
feature an updated version of our environment module. Interface turned
off for your viewing pleasure :)
The screenshots are taken close to the Human town Redburg like last time,
and on the first screenshot you can see the Redburg Iron Mines facility
in the distance.
Screenshots are actual ingame screenshots, taken on a GeForce 1
videocard, with perfectly playable FPS.

Swaying
Grass & New Interface
07/05/2002
These two
screenshots show the Human town Redburg. Redburg is a small frontier town
close to the border of the Mahirim Plains.
The grass on the ground is swaying in the wind, and so are all the trees,
flowers, etc. If you look really carefully at the second screenshot, you
can see the bucket over the well swaying as well ;)
These two screenshots also show the new and improved interface of Darkfall.
The interface is kind of rough at the moment, but we will brush up on
it as we get closer to release.
Screenshots are actual ingame screenshots, taken on a GeForce 1
videocard, with perfectly playable FPS.

Pre-Alpha
shots
21/02/2002
These two
new screenshots are taken from the Pre-Alpha version of Darkfall. We are
getting closer to the level of detail and quality you should expect from
a 2003 game. Next up is grass swaying in the wind on the ground (all trees
are already swaying, based on the wind in the area), and then shadows.
The interface you see on the screenshots is a temp one, and will be replaced
before we enter Alpha.
Please note that these screenshots are actual ingame screenshots,
taken on a GeForce 1, with great FPS. No cheating, using a GeForce 4 to
make the screenshots look better than they actually are.
