 21/12-2002:

Hey.
A minor update of my .plan file. It's been a while since last 
time :P
As we said on the news page, we'll have announcements and
updates after the holidays.
We are still alive and doing well. Darkfall is doing good, and
the new guys are amazing.
It was actually snowing here in Athens yesterday, but hopefully
the winter is shorter than in Norway.

I'm going back to Norway for the Christmas holidays tomorrow,
and will be back in a week.

12/07-2002:

I've been busy with alot of things since last update.
Lately I have been doing major work on our Worldbuilder toool.
This tool is what we use to create Darkfall. The worldbuilder's
responsibilities are putting objects in the world, affecting the
object's properties, and adding game logic to the object. Also,
the tool controls special effects, terrain-creation/modification
and just about anything else you can think of. We want the
worldbuilder to be as designer-friendly as possible, for quick
and easy content building. :)

I have been coding quite abit on the interface module too, so the
interface api has alot of nice functionality, and works as
intended. ;)

01/04-2002:

[Insert an april fool's day joke here]  :P

I just got back from my easter vacation, and needed something
easy to start off with. This update is it.

Darkfall has been progressing at a pretty good pace, and we've got
the interface system up and running properly with new graphics and
better event handling.
The skill/spell/clan/guild/religion-systems are being worked on
at the moment. Me and Claus have had some good discussions about
how these systems should be intertwined to make fun and interesting
gameplay. More details will probably be in the FAQ later on.
Anyway, back to getting back to work..


Dedicated to Silverwolf for pestering me about updating once
a week for the last month or so ;)

20/01-2002:

Ops.. been a while since last time I updated my planfile :P

Pre-Alpha got out the door, albeit pretty delayed. We've had it
in testing for a few weeks now and things seem pretty stable,
although there isn't much that could go wrong in this stripped
version. It has been more of a system-test for the server and
client framework code than anything else, yet.

At the moment I am working on the client interface framework,
which should be up&running later today. That means we can start
moving the interface windows around and bind actions to buttons.

My plan is to continue the work on our world builder tool this 
coming week, updating it to work as it should with the system
redesign we did before Christmas.

16/11-2001:

Since the last update of this planfile, we got even more delayed
with the Pre-Alpha than we thought possible. People have been
sick and overworked here lately. These are bad excuses for missing
such an important deadline, but true nonetheless :P
On a brighter side:
Status today is that Client<->Server communication is up and
running,basic Gamelogic for pre-alpha is in the works. 3D-engine is
ready.
What we basically have left is sowing the 3D-engine together with
the rest of the engine, testing this, finishing off the gamelogic,
and getting it out the door.
This should not take too long.

We have been thinking about making a roleplaying forum for you
to get into the mood of your future character, or just discuss
things in old english for the heck of it. ;)
If enough people want that, then we'll make it so. Post your
opinion on the boards.

Now back to work.

01/10-2001:

We have been abit delayed with the  Pre-Alpha because we are
taking time to get this right. Abit of restructuring was needed
to get the engine as flexible and stable as possible. This should
speed things up in later stages, making it easier for us to add new
things or change old bits of the engine if they get outdated.

Right now we are putting stuff together and will be testing 
internally in a short while. After that we'll release the Pre-Alpha
to the few (un)lucky chosen ones. ;)
If you expect gameplay this will not be a good experience. The
first semi-public release is en engine test, nothing else.

hm.. back to coding.


PS! I've meaning to plan to update my .plan file more often.

Working on client logic. Need to get the basic system working
for pre-alpha.
Not much else to say, except that headphones rox! I love almost
shattering my eardrums and programming at the same time. ;)

03/08-2001:

Been working on getting the website and boards up lately.
Alot of little things to keep track of, but the pages
seem ok now. If there any broken links, then mail us at
contact@razorwax.com.

Other than I have been reworking the way dialogs are created in
our worldbuilder, so that it can automagically create dialogs for
objects, based on the new XML format we will be using shortly.
